If
ever a dog was bred to be a champion on the
racetrack and then at stud it is JUST
THE BEST.
Owned by Paul Felgate, he was a sensation on
the track winning the Group 2
Vince Curry Memorial, the toughest maiden series
in the country in devastating fashion, running
a near record 29.76. But he didn't stop there.
He went to Albion Park and at the time was second
only to his legendary dam Flying Amy on the
time sheet with a 29.78 (Amy's record is 29.73).
Off to Melbourne he trialled under the track
record at Sandown at his first look at the track
and then ran a brilliant 29.80 in a race.
At stud he is what he was bred to be, the greatest
sire of his generation and one of the all-time
greats.
His sire CREDIBILITY was a
champion sire with a remarkable winner to runner
ration and has been a remarkable sire of sires.
His legacy is JUST THE BEST.
The Credibility sireline stems from such legends
as Worth Doing, Brother Fox and goes right back
to the greatest of all TEMLEE.
His dam FLYING AMY was one
of the first two greyhounds inducted into the
Australian greyhound Hall of Fame. Her half
sister Tenthill Doll was the other. Amy is held
in the highest esteem by greyhound followers
the world over. Her son JUST THE BEST
will keep that name to the fore forever.
JUST THE BEST at stud
In 2003, Just The Best sired more Group 1 winners,
and more Group winners than any sire before
him. He has such champions as Bogie Leigh (Australia's
highest stakes earning bitch) representing him.
He has numerous sons already at stud.
